I'm pretty sure the guy in the uk wish custom cams and head and itb's goes over 8k
Heck, apparently the 3.2 stroker kit has no issue to 7.5k without any other work

At minimum I'd think you need lightweight valves, valve springs... And somehow address the hydraulic lifters (probably change to manually adjustable).
Maybe pistons and ross, too.
Race engine life spans are measured in hours. Just because you see it on a race car doesn't mean you can do it.
