The 1M rear retrofit is easier said than done. The problem is that the rear quarter panel is welded on, so it takes a LOT of work to replace it. The only rear-end conversion that I know of was Tony135 (just last week), and he said that he spent over $6,000 just on the rear quarter panel conversion. And that was done by LTMW, which usually has very good prices because their BMW expertise allows them to do the same work in fewer hours.

Thanks man! I am trying to keep it OEM 1M looking though. I'll post pictures once the claim has been settled so you can see, my entire rear bumper is trashed as well as any tabs connecting it to the quarter panels. I don't know if that means that the quarters will also need replacing. Since this just occurred I don't know whether "fixing" the tabs on the quarters will be greater or less than replacing the quarters altogether.
