Thought that some may like the following photos that I took yesterday during a trip to surrounding countryside here in Santiago, Chile. Perfect summer Sunday, high speed but relaxed highway crusing to destination, Led Zeppelin playing day long with occasional offs to enjoy the engine and exhaust sound, windows down more than half of the trip, superb ride along a twisty and deserted canyon road for around 50 km., visiting Latin America's biggest vineyard Concha y Toro (see the matching orange bag of the souvenir wine bottle, a Carmenere, Chile's signature grape/wine), also passing and briefly giving pauses at sleepy historical towns and villages and an early evening dinner at a rustic barbecue restaurant. What else a car nut, a culture vulture and a married guy with two kids but family having a summer holiday in the other side of continent could wish for?
Destination: Santiago to Pirque to Cajon del Maipo and back, dinner and visits included a total of four and a half hours and 158 km. on the clock. Highlight of the trip: taking the turns on the canyon just with throttle and building some speed before holding back for next turn again and again, two to three and back, such composure, force and confidence this car demonstrates, one more time blown away with the performance of the PSS, sound of the Evolve Race mated to N55 mids and absolutely no hint of any lag whatsoever on that type of road and driving. The car was a 9 when I bought it October 2011 and for me it is a 10 already without doing any major mods like engine tuning or suspension works.
Whatever it has as mods you can either see from the photos or check my sig for the full list. Only remaining work to be done before giving it a rest is the CDV delete (modified piece is in trunk, waiting) and flushing the original brake fluid at the same time. Jezzer's 1M mats are also in the post, about to arrive I assume. Hmmm, maybe the Revezport difuser and undertray too, in matt cf of course (thanks Einser for reminding!). And that new fellow from Prague just gave me the best idea (textile pen) to re-finish the hand brake leather stitching in orange
Now a few photos:
