Great post, I'm ready to install mine now. Be careful when ordering one of these on-line. On some sites (getMBWparts.com for one) if you enter the part number 25112284205 under general parts a standard M5 leather shift knob, not illuminated comes up, if you enter the same number under accessories, Genuine BMW F10 M5 Illuminated Shift Knob with Boot comes up.
