Took the car to the dealer today: #6 on the list, Charge Pipe Cracked. Replaced under warranty.
Hopefully learning from Dan Parker's unfortunate incident, I did discuss the idea that they replace the charge pipe with an aftermarket version of my choosing, preserving the factory warranty. $200 in labor.
I love the car, but it is a little embarrassing when the only mod I'm considering making is to fix a reliability issue BMW must have known about for a few years. Really?
