It's not too common of a retrofit.
You guys are right that fitting a secondary Oilcooler could take up that space but large oilcoolers like the ER dual comp take up considerable space and cutting will be necessary of both the ducting and the fender liner.
Most after market oilcoolers are made to replace the fActory one- not work injunction. So to get them to work together you would need custom oil lines.
