Yeah stuff them. I think it's more got to do with the confusion between similarity which is what gets people.

As far as I see it, ///M denotes trim and other upgrades whereas ///Mx denotes complete M division cars. But then there's exceptions like the 1M which only gets an ///M badge, probably due to the ///M1 already existing - so thus confusion.

Same thing happens in the Audi camp with the S and RS badges, although the differentiation is a little clearer.

At the end of the day, you're not doing anything wrong. Your car, your decision.
