I would only have the oil changed by a dealer or BMW independent!
BTW, Mobil 1 0W40 is approved by BMW. Use only Mann, Mahle, or BMW filters. The media in a Valvoline filter will cause big problems.
I have 11 5qt jugs of Mobil 1. I just noticed 5 say BMW and 6 don't. I'll have to use the 6 in my Merc!
