It'll help with throttle response, more noticeable if your tune is aggressive. Probably helps with longevity since the turbos don't have to work as hard.
Not sure if there will be much change in sound since you have the sealed GruppeM intake, but my relocated inlets produced a bit more induction noise; No change in startup volume.
No CEL or emissions issues, only downside is that the stock rear inlet must be cut to remove it. There simply isn't enough room to pull it out in one piece without dropping the engine or removing the trans.
Are you still on stock DPs and tune?
