I commuted with a MT in pretty heavy traffic for 20+ years. Still have that car so I get to shift when I want. Got the E82 in AT for a couple of reasons. One - it met all my other criteria. Another reason is similar to Esteban (much less severe an incident) but made the clutch difficult to deal with all the same. Plus I got older and lazier.
Have to add the MT with paddles isn't too bad as it will hold a gear in sport mode for cornering.
