Not sure I would go
that far, but I do see where you are coming from - some aspects of the coupe just detract too much from the refined-but-powerful impression that the design language deployed in most other Bimmers generates in the viewer. Consider the goofy too-big headlights, the ruler-straight side crease, the tacky and cheap-looking trunk lip spoiler addon that should have been integrated into the lid (and which BMW does its best to disguise in its PR photos)...
Granted most folks here love it, but the perspectives to be found in other more neutral forums have been far more mixed.
