EDIT:
IMO, combination of aftermarket pads without the proper backing plate design and multiple impacts on the back of the aftermarket pad which is causing them to crack.
Gary_c has stated below, ceramics are highly heat resistant, but they are also very brittle.
Nobody here has the piston top crumbling issue with OEM pads correct?
