Blackjack, that should work. The squeak in my armrest stopped immediately. Now whenever I clean the interior, I give the hinge a little application of Cockpit. Don't know if it makes any difference but mine's a 2010 - squeak started at 800 miles every time I rested my elbow on it, very annoying.
