Actually, some recent posts have indicated that BMW is not re-imbursing dealers for service performed at any time before the due date or mileage - there used to be a bit of wiggle room.
And your original post was the clearest, most concise explanation I've seen of a schedule that BMW tries to make as confusing as possible
(BTW, turbo plugs are 45k, not 40!)

n54 45k ( or third oil service) for plugs...
n55 60k( or every 4th oil service )
edited my post above ... we forgot the air filter !!! every second oil service.. and no fuel filter replacement
