I popped into my dealers today and he told me that he'd just come back from a BMW performance event and got to drive the 1M.
He took a lot of video on his phone that he showed me but the most interesting was the side by side drag race between a 1M and a 135i. The 1M pulled away by quite a distance which was surprising because the 135i doesn't have a lot less power really
He also said that through the lane change test and the corners, the 1M felt much more planted and changed direction more sharply and directly. Overall the car was very solid and had a more muscular feel to it compared to the 135i.
