While I concur with folks' desire for a square setup, it simply isn't an ideal option for the 1 or 2 series. Any square setup that doesn't involve serious modification (camber and/or fender work) is going to sacrifice rear grip. There's simply a ton of room in the rear, and almost none up front. Even 255 square setups which require tons of camber and some fender rolling are giving up grip in the rear. Personally, I think if you want a square setup with spacers and fender mods and all that, there are already options out there on the market.

What Ginger seems to be proposing is a first ever 1 or 2-series specific, bolt on (no spacers or mods required) 17 inch offering. This, I'd be interested in because I like cheaper tires.
