So yeah, gona buy an adapter from Dan, as I tried to go through the local dealership here in Italy... No parlez Italiano so it didnt help matters in getting the right one. I bought one for 100 Euro, roughly 145 dollars and it doesnt connect to the Ipod function of the radio as my 3GS adapter did... I bought a glorified charger?????? What gives? So now, I will take it back for a refund and am ordering one through Dan.

P.S. On a side note, my Iphone cable doesnt even connect the ipod function of my iPhone 4 either when connected via the USB connection... is there a bigger underlying problem here?

This is the adapter part number those Italians sold me: 84.21-2 199 389-01
