I just can't imagine they'd do that when the 2-series will be a 2014 and will be out around March, following a similar timeline as when the 1-series came out back in 2008. I'd say maybe there's a 1% chance of a 2014 1-series coupe here, but wouldn't they already essentially be coming out or be able to build it on the BMW website?
So, pretty sure it's dead and they're just focusing on rolling out all their larger, broader new offerings right now at all the autoshows and what have you before revealing the 2. But then again, knowing BMW, they may misinterpret recent 1-series sales spikes as something other than people making a mad rush to get the last of a dying breed.
