I see this is an old thread but I've noticed this same thing with my '09 with 56k miles. I've only had the car a month but already realized that I don't get hot air unless I put the temp to the max 84* (Miami had finally gotten cold for just one week lol). At even 82* I still get cool (but not very cold) air coming out... I thought this was unusual and glad to see I'm not the only one.
