Yes. I don't quite understand the fear about calling it an "M1". The original M1 was made 30 years ago and was produced for 3 years. If using names (really an alphanumeric combination) that had been used on different cars in the past is so verboten, why didn't anyone make a fuss about the re-use of "328"?

Is anyone seriously *not* going to buy the car because it was called an "M1"?

Hell, it's not like BMW didn't have any problems bastardizing the "M" name by slapping it on farm equipment anyway. That was the real crime!
