VMR are very heavy wheels, I wouldn't run them. IIRC apex wheels are 70% of the weight for similar design and size.

I want to see 18x9+40 all round, not a fan of staggered fitment.

Apex are very light (18"x8.5" weighing in at around 7.5kg??), I wouldn't necessarily call vmr very heavy, they're lighter than or the same as the factory BMW wheels...

Also, I was thinking of going staggered because I have a staggered setup now (205 front, 225 rear from factory) and that will keep a similar balance rather than the front gaining more grip relative to the rear (if I were to go to a 8.5" 225 square set up)?
These cars need more front grip, SO MUCH UNDERSTEER
a quick google has vmr v701 at 24lb in 18".. So yeah pretty freakin heavy!

Most of the wheels i'm lookin to upgrade to are <20lb in 18's >_< (18*10)

225 rear is too narrow imo though (even 245 isn't quite perfect, depending on the tire you use of course) be good to get a 245 front>_<
