They're just over 3 inches. I'd say 3 and 1/8th.

Yes. AA headers + the muffler results in pops and burbles, which are actually louder than just the PE Exhaust alone. AA Headers + PE exhaust made pops and burbles which were incredibly loud. Lifting off the throttle after a first gear pull would result in a single, gunshot-like bang.
