It is not recommended to change the sensor cable, it's
required. The sensor cable is a wear item. As in, it gets worn down and literally breaks to indicate your pads are worn. It's very easy to replace. Just plug in the new cable and stick it into the cut-out in the pad.

The warning light should turn off automatically.
And you can reset the brake change due mileage in the board computer.
