You'll get an "in-transit" permit from the local DMV to drive your car out of the state. It costs about $30 (each state is different).

You'll need to fax a copy of it to your insurance company too, typically.

Although some dealers will not sell to Canadians, search around and you'll find one.

That being said, $6300 probably still isn't worth the hassle and the drop in potential resale down the road. Plus, if you plan to have your car serviced at the dealer, they might treat you like crap for importing a car from the US.

If you plan to service it yourself, no big deal obviously.
