It was my understand that the professional radio without those lacks certain ports on the back of it that the professional radio with them has. Either way I'm having my radio swapped out next month, I just went ahead and bought the new headunit from ebay since they have different part numbers (proof enough for me).

I really was not going to tear apart my headunit to make sure they were different, figured if my old headunit turns out to have the proper components to accept the usb cable then ill just sell the new headunit I bought.

Edit: It also depends on whether or not you have an external amp (depends on the year of the car, I think 2010 and on do not have an external amp but don't quote me on that). I don't, so I didn't really look for what the procedure would be if that's the case.
