The BMW manuals I have seen call the stock valves Blow-off, but arent they really diverter valves? Unless I completely misinterpreted the diagram, the valves redirect the air back into the intake. If you put a blow off valve on a car that is made for a diverter valve it can really affect the way the car runs.
