The problem with the stock pipe is not the C-Clamp, but the flimsy plastic with which the pipe is made.

A properly manufactured metal charge pipe using the same C-Clamp to fasten it to the throttle body is, in my opinion, ideal.

I replaced my stock pipe with the ER piece and it has worked flawlessly.

I have heard internet chatter that ER may be having some quality control issues of late, but have no personal knowledge of this.
