Not sure if this software applies to non iDrive but there is a number of updates since 2011. In fact the latest is just a couple weeks old. |
Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to check this out. I actually figured everything out, I didn't know you needed a Y-cable because my old iPod didn't need any aux input for it to be read by the car. Maybe it's just iPhones that need the Y-cable, not sure but it's working fine now.
