Yes running the engine is a good one. Maybe on a sunny day drive it around the block?

Oh another tip, if you have freezing weather. Disconnect the battery. I didn't one winter on an old beater and it killed the battery. If you really want to baby the battery, disconect it, and make sure it doesn't freeze.

The Insurance is a good one to remember. If it's in a garage I would think the best/easiest is an indoor cover as it's easier to remove. If you don't care what it looks like, I bet an old sheet(s) would work. You might even want to cover the inside with sheets too.

Gas does go bad as you probably already know. I bet it's double important for such a high performace engine too! Oh I have also read of people who have had rats/mise eat their wires. I kid you not. I know tree-rats squirrels do the same, they have eaten my pressure washer handle, bit in hoses etc. You might want to put some traps around the car, to be extra safe.
