What we typically recommend for our VMR wheels for a rub-free fitment would be an 18x8.5 +45, 18x9.5 +50 on a 225/40, 245/35 or 255/35. Run-flats are only produced in certain sizes which is why you'll need to run a 245 rear if you want to stick with run-flats. If not, you can go to a 255/35 for a staggered. For your square 18x8, I recommend running the 225/40/18's all around.
