I admitt, the car is a bit pricy and for the money there are cars that are just as fast for less... BUT I think the 128i/135 is a good looking little car and it is fun to drive.
So why don't we see more on the road?

I drove to LIC and back today...4hrs total, took Goethals, Verrazano to BQE and back. I saw a total of 3 1ers, all 128is, one convert that I paced on the BQE in my jeep.
