There are two metal clips in the front of the dome where the unit snaps into the headliner. The metal clip is shaped like an upsidedown "V" with on side attached to the dome and the other side that springs out under the headliner You need to slide a thin flat head screwdriver or nylon pry bar between the headline and the front of the dome to compress the "V" while pulling down on the front of the dome. The front of the dome needs to come down first since the back of the dome has fixed clips. The hardest part is locating the clips and getting one clip to remain unclipped while you release the otherside. The clips about 3/4" from the corner on each side of the dome. An angled pry tool is helpful since there is not much room between the front of the dome and the windshield. I've found that a bent butter knife works well.
