One of my oem, rft is going to blowup soon . There's a huge bump on the side wall. I want to get some info before I make new tire purchase.

For those who has increased the tire size from oem F: 215/40/18 R: 245/35/18 to F: 225/40/18 R: 255/35/18, do you see a dramatic height difference?

If you happens to have a picture, can I take a look at the difference?

Thanks alot
The difference is much less than the tread depth on the tyres. Each sidewall will be 4mm higher on an 86mm sidewall. The tread depth is about 8mm on a new tyre.

If you can see the difference between a new 215/40-18 and a worn one in sidewall height, then you may be able to see the difference between a 215/40-18 and a 225/40-18.
