Does not matter how any of you break in your engine. Every single one of your motors were built "with-in" a certain degree of acceptable tolerances and not one motor is the same. The whole idea is old school train of thought. Turn the key, drive the car how you are going to drive it everyday. They will all have different issues at different times and consume fluids at different times. Monitor, maintain, drive. Unless something is WAY off, I don't worry about a little oil burnoff...
