Unhappy Rear Ended

I was rear ended last Tuesday by a young woman driving a Volkswagen Jetta, which resulted in a deep gash and scratch to the metal panel underneath the paint on my rear bumper. My insurance company notified me that they will waive the deductible, send me a list of shops to get it replaced and/or painted/restored, and pay for all costs involved.

I am located around the Santa Monica area with close proximity to the 10 and 405. I was wondering if anyone knows a good shop that is preferably certified to perform BMW repair and paint work. My car color is Jet Black. I am worrying sick about how the paint will come out. I hope they don’t cheapen up and use non-genuine BMW paint.

Alternatively, how would I go about my insurance company if I wanted to replace my current non-rear diffuser bumper with a rear-diffuser bumper?
Any insight on others’ experiences for panel/bumper repaints or restoration would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!
