So, my iCarbon hood came in a couple days ago. I've been considering installing
Aerocatch hoodpins (watching
this video convinced me). I track my car quite a bit.
Anyway, I see that some other 1Addicts have installed these and my question is:
Where do you mount the actual pin in the engine bay? I'm not talking about the latch on the hood, I'm talking about the pin that comes up from the engine and is bolted to the engine bay.
From what I can see, there is hardly and metal in the upper most part of the engine- especially in areas where a hood pin might look best. Here's what I mean:

So when I see the following images, I'm wondering- where could that pin actually be attached to?
When I look in the engine bay, I see mostly empty space above the headlights.
Thoughts?
