Yeah, at high speeds (read: limiter removed) the stock diffuser flexes outward. Is it going to slow you down or make you fly? Probably nothing noticeable, but it is happening. Is it going to matter to 99.99% of 1 drivers? Nope.
But, there is a reason the performance version is cut with mesh inserts, as seen in this photo from United BMW's website:
