Or are you financing these things for 15yrs? I have friends in London that laugh when we start talking salaries ... they must make a ton more than I do, because it seems like they're always doing some remodel / addition or taking some trip to an exotic place. But their eyes get wide when they see my car.
Are salaries in the UK really that much higher than the US?
