11' 135i N55 DCT 80k mile. oil consumption normal or abnormal?
2011 135i N55 motor DCT, I picked up the car not too long ago with lots of real maintenance/service records in receipts. It is a blast to drive in this car anyday. Car is complete stock other than chargepipe & muffler delete
more info: I used mobile1 0w40 with OEM filter. 80K mile currently
Anyways, I start noticing the oil consumption is pretty bad on this car. I have look under and top for oil leak on my first oil change, did it myself. I've been consuming about 1QT per 1000-1200 mile. I drive mild hard here n there (5k rpm max after fully warmed up), I have my gtr for those 140-190mph fun times.
Anyone experience similar to what I have? I can take some advise what to look for?
I checked oil filter housing, front crank seal, drain plug area, oil pan gasket all dry.
