B) takes 2 days, maybe 3 tops to get keys. Not 2 weeks. Key purchases are usually paid upfront and you need to supply proof of ownership (reg / Lic)
Keys should only take 1 business day if ordered prior to 3PM on a business day. BMW NA overnights them to dealer.
C) Vehicles without Comfort Access
Key Fob: 66120413690: $161.95
Key: 51217069547: $35.41
No shop programming required, simply put key in ignition to program
If ordered before 3PM on a business day, will arrive next business day. Saturday delivery for extra charge - only comes 50% of the time
Vehicles with Comfort Access
Key Fob: 66120413694: $234.83
Key: 51217069547: $35.41
1 hour of programming required, set up in service dept. BMW industry labor rates vary from $125.00/hr - $180.00/hr. United BMW is $135.00/hr
If ordered before 3PM on a business day, will arrive next business day. Saturday delivery for extra charge - only comes 50% of the time
D) Proof of ownership is needed to verify VIN and owner so key cut and program are a match for your car
E) Programming new key takes 10 seconds BUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! since you lost a key you need to have it permenetaly removed from your control unit so that if it is ever found it can never start your car, although it can unlock it.
Dealers usually charge between .5 to 1.0 to delete key memory.
Cant be anymore current than that. prices quoted are Retail Retail..
Hope that answers your questions.
