I spoke to a vendor of die cast models who travels all around the country at major racing events and has a decently sized booth with hundreds of models in display (saw him during the 12 Hrs of Sebring as well as in Lime Rock 6 months later and his tent was stocked to the gills!) I specifically asked him about the 1///M, and he did indicate there has been customer interest, however most often the car manufacturer has rights for a certain period of time before an independent manufacturer can go ahead and fabricate a certain car model. He said Porsche is by far the worse, often keeping rights to certain models for years before companies like Bburago/Maisto/Mattel et all can start making them.
