Well, I agree that the 'classic' car status probably wont equate to a great ROI here. Its a car and is going to depreciate like one at least for 20 some odd years or so.

As far as the car being banned from the road, I would simply say look back at what we have done with 25 year old cars presently. Cars from 1986 are still legal and grandfathered in. I strongly doubt that turbo charged gasoline based cars will be fully illegal and banned in twenty five years. Its probably more true that the cost to operate a car like the 1M will double or triple over this time period driving down the likely hood of it being driven.
