BMW NA specifies when launch date is, and it's not until March 22nd. I bet the car could be produced and sitting on their lot earlier, but they are not supposed to release it until launch date.
I can remember during the e90 launch where people had their cars sitting on their dealer's lot for weeks, and not able to take delivery.
