If the N55 is so great why is not been used in the new 1 M Coupe.
BMW knows the potential of the N54 and that's why they are leaving N54 as the higher power option for the best in their class (335is and 1M).

Pretty low boost for 360+whp. The n55 is an excellent engine. Better than the n54 in many respects i'd say. And a properly matched FMIC upgrade was worth 20-30whp gains from 4200 to 6500rpm!"
