Huh? The overall length at the maximum extension point (the point where it sticks out furthest) is still the same as stock and was not cut back. Only enough material was removed to match the contour of the tip covers. I can see where my use of the term "re-contour" in the above post may have been misleading. You have to cut to re-contour. The tail pipe expander can be used to bend the lip outward to lay flatter against the part it covers. You do this after the tips have been cut and the covers installed. This should make it easier to do a sano job plus it can be done on the car.
