If NCS Expert and the like are just looking for a serial port in order to be able to establish a connection to the car - Carly might work as long as whatever BluTooth stack on your PC is compatible. We'll see  |
From my chats with the Carly folks, their dongle is designed specifically for the Carly App. That implies that it will be looking for a specific handshake and protocol from Carly. There are other "generic" OBDII BT dongles that may work with something other than Carly, though. I'll be interested to see if NCSExpert or E-Sys can connect and communicate with the modules using the Carly adapter.
