notice how you can see the whole dash on his car? That's probably a 180 degree gopro video, they really mess with distance perspective, something close will look far away because the image is distorted so much, it's almost a fisheye effect
I use a helmetcam when I offroad, and trees that are so close that I hit my handlebars on, look far away in the video
