I visit a dealer i Luxemburg a few years ago.
they had an E46 CSL converted with the V8 M5 engine and used it on Nürenburg Ring.
It was not a perfect match. That combination gave a nose-heavy car that did not have the best handling on the track.
I cant remember the weight of the S85 engine, but I think it's a bit heavier than the V8 M5 engine.....
