Never looked closely at the 1er...but the E90 had a lift point located just behind the engine center of car. It was a thick plastic rectangle set into a circular point the same dimension as a standard jack pad. The rear I have always done at the pumpkin. Alternately, you can use the plastic moulded lift points.

If I needed to lift an individual tire I just used a block of wood. A 2x4 cut down to fit on the jack pad and thin enough to slide under the lower control arm. In order to raise the front of the e90 enough to get my 4x4 5 ton jack under it I screwed some other 2x4s together and made a hasty ramp that could also double as a chock block.
