You should be able to run 17x8.5 with a 245/40 right?
Some front camber and maybe a slight rear roll? That's not too big of a deal.
The front offset is good, and the rear isn't off by much.
You have the same problems with most 17s. 17x8/8.5, vast majority of them being 40mm. But they work with minimal effort.
